A document controller on your project, for as long as the project needs one
Transmittals, registers, deliverable tracking and close-out documentation, run by us for a defined term.
The role is real. Hiring for it is the problem.
Some projects need a document controller and do not have one. Hiring for a role that ends when the project does is awkward, and asking a project engineer to absorb it means it happens at the end of the day, if at all.
So it gets done in gaps. Transmittals go out late, the register drifts from what was actually issued, and the close-out set is assembled in the final month from whatever can be found.
What we do
Transmittals and correspondence control. Deliverable registers kept current as the work is issued. Chasing what is overdue, and telling the project manager what is not moving. Building close-out and as-built documentation as the work happens rather than reconstructing it at the end.
We work inside your systems and to your project’s conventions, not ours.
Where the difference shows
At handover. Projects that ran document control properly finish. Projects that did not spend an extra month proving they finished, usually while the final payment sits unreleased.
Who it’s for
Engineering and construction, on projects and in operations. A project with a document-heavy contract, a programme with more deliverables than the team can track, or an operation that has lost the person who used to hold it together.
How it works
This is a resourcing arrangement rather than a consulting engagement. Engaged per project for a defined term, with a defined start and end, and priced accordingly.
What you end up with
- Transmittals issued on time and a register that matches what was actually sent
- Close-out and as-built documentation built as the work happens, not reconstructed at the end
- A project manager told what is overdue rather than finding out at handover
- Everything already in your systems, so there is nothing to hand back

Common questions
Do we need a document system in place first?
It helps, and where you do not have one we can design and build it. That is a separate service, Document Management Systems.
What happens at the end of the term?
The registers, the transmittal record and the close-out set are yours and are already in your systems. There is nothing to hand back, because nothing was ever held anywhere else.
